Join 2020 Curtis Gates Lloyd Fellow, doctoral student, Madeline DeDe-Panken, as she investigates the gendered dimensions of interactions between the scholarly mycological community and those engaged in the little-remembered cultural “fungus fad,” which brought mushrooms to the forefront of popular culinary practice and scientific study in late nineteenth-century America.
