Slip away from the hectic activities of the holidays with a stop at the Lloyd Library and Museum.  Experience peace and calm when visiting one of Cincinnati’s premier research libraries, explore its latest exhibition, Ingredients That Warm the Season, and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and cookies. Celebrate the opening of the Lloyd Library and Museum’s latest exhibition, Ingredients That Warm the Season, featuring botanical illustrations and recipes that tell the story of the traditions of food and decoration around the winter holidays. Light refreshments. Free and open to the public. Return throughout December to view the exhibit. Holiday cards and gifts available at the Lloyd Shop.

Usher in the holiday season by creating a unique herbal wreath and take a sneak peek at the exhibition, Ingredients that Warm the Season: Chocolate, Nuts, Herbs and Spices, at Cincinnati’s Lloyd Library. Light refreshments.
Registration fee is $50 and includes materials for your take home wreath. Members of the Friends of the Lloyd Library & Museum receive $5 off with discount code. Limited seating.

Join nature photographers, Rick Conner and T.J. Vissing, and Martin McAllister, Project Manager of the Ohio Nature Conservancy’s Appalachian Forest Project, as they discuss photographing the Edge of Appalachia Nature Preserve and its important implications. While at the Lloyd, view Conner and Vissing’s work in the exhibition, A Year on the Edge: A Photographic Narrative of the Edge of Appalachia Preserve, presented as part of the 2018 FotoFocus Biennial.

Our neighbors at the Cincinnati Fire Museum are hosting ChiliFest on Saturday, October 6. The Lloyd Library will be open from 3-5 p.m. Stop by and see our 2018 FotoFocus Biennial exhibits.
