World-renowned scholar Art Whistler of the University of Hawaii botany department and Lyon Arboretum will present a lecture on the flora of Samoa at the Lloyd. Whistler is known for his work on the botany of the Pacific Islands. His Herbal Medicine in Samoa is considered an authoritative work in its field, and was partly informed by Curtis Gates Lloyd's field work in Samoa over 100 years ago.
There will be a light reception at 6:30 p.m., lecture at 7 p.m.
Free and open to the public. Registration required.
